SONNY after the rain – Newborn Photos

I have always looked up to my big Cousin Jono. He is always full of laughs and is an incredibly talented Musician. Jon and our Brothers used to torment me as a kid, tie me up in a sleeping bag and throw me down the stairs, but hey… it was character building and I half enjoyed it!

His wife Danielle is also one of the friendliest, coolest chicks you’ll ever meet.

So two cool people make a baby and of course he has an ultra cool name – meet Sonny!

Meet 17 days old Sonny born 6th April 2018

Sonny decided to make his very lengthy and dramatic entrance into the world amongst the April showers and was quite poorly for a few days in Hospital. His Dad sent me a beautiful text announcing his birth…

“the week leading up to Sonny’s birth the weather was rainy and miserable, he was born at 6:22am, he stalled labour to see the sunrise at 6:24am, the day he was born and the days he was most poorly we had beautiful sunny weather, then as he moved ward it went rainy again. This song is a great representation of how we feel… ” (Lyrics below)

The Lyrics from Sunny by Bobby Hebb, 1966
Sunny
Yesterday my life was filled with rain
Sunny
You smiled at me and really eased the pain
Now the dark days are gone, and the bright days are here
My sunny one shines so sincere
Sunny one so true, I love you
Sunny
Thank you for the sunshine bouquet
Sunny
Thank you for the love you brought my way
You gave to me your all and all
And now I feel ten feet tall
Sunny one so true, I love you
Sunny
Thank you for the truth you let me see
Sunny
Thank you for the facts from A to Z
My life was torn like wind-blown sand
And a rock was formed when you held my hand (oh, sunny)
Sunny one so true, I love you.
Sunny
Thank you for the smile upon your face
Hmm, sunny
Thank you, thank you for the gleam that shows its grace
You’re my spark of nature’s fire
You’re my sweet complete desire
Sunny one so true, yes, I love you
Sunny
Yesterday, all my life was filled with rain
Sunny
You smiled at me and really-really eased the pain
Now the dark days are gone, and the bright days are here (oh, sunny)
My sunny one shines so sincere
Sunny one so true, I love you
I love you (sunny)
I love you (sunny)
Signin’ I love you (sunny)
Yes, I love you (sunny)
